"Now I’m Just A Split In Your Seam The 'I' In Your Team"

Last night I couldn't sleep. But I didn't care.

I just laid in bed for an hour&ahalf and listened to "From Under the Cork Tree" and "Take This To Your Grave". I sung every word in my head - oh my that felt good.

I felt like a zombie at work; a few people asked me if I sick because my eyes looked so red and I dragged my body around like a dead corpse. Anyway, they let me clock out an hour early because business was slow.

Flying kites with the girlfriend tonight (if we can find any kites).

brad

Jeez I really feel like the modern day Douggie Houser, 299 entries.

Went to the I Was A Spy bar show last night; My Antonia played - & again I still stand when I say, I can't believe I only have to pay five bones to see these guys. One Day Late & I Was A Spy were okay.

My Antonia

I'm not sure if I have to work tommorow morning or in the afternoon. I'm going to turn-off my phone and not set my alarm anyway; my schedule says 7pm but it's a truck shift; truck shifts are never that late - so I'm thinking the computer made a mistake between AM & PM.

brad

I'm The Cure For All Your Wet Dreams.

So I'm taking a dump and reading one of Colin's high-class Guitar World magazines, and I spot a Tegan & Sara review - "Lesbians, sisters, and proud Canucks, ... "

Okay, omg wtf. Every Tegan & Sara review or story I have ever read in a magazine always mention that they're lesbian sisters from Canada; I'm not kidding. Geez

It doesn't bother me that much but it's a wtf or something.

The twin on the left is hotter Ha
Eventhough they're twins.
I'd live a life of depression if I was the ugly twin :\

Oh yeah, are there any the Atari fans on my friend's page ...

I'm talking about before "So Long, Astoria". I really really like "So, Long Astoria" tho, but the little older material is really good too. Kris Roe is kinda hot too.

I Was A Spy show tommorow. All Ages. The bar show is better, My Antonia are opening for it. The all ages show has mostly Scum Tribe support. In my opinion they picked the wrong bands to open the all ages.

brad

In a video, Ayman al-Zawahiri said British Prime Minister Tony Blair caused the destruction in London and 'more will come, God willing.' He also warned the U.S. that the 9/11 attacks 'are nothing compared to what you will see next.'"

full story on cnn.com

I like to think that if something were to happen, no one would really release video saying "Hey guys, look out here we come again!" On the other hand the Al Qaeda isn't exactly hush hush about their attacks. It's hard for me to say though, I don't really know how the world works being a bay-whop and all. I try to stay as far away from it as possible. Canada is kind of like that though, we're not pansies - we're just not into the drama. The dude in the video will probably die before he see's any form of "mass distruction" anyway.

brad

Justincase you didn't know - I am whatever you want me to be and if you have a problem with that it's really not my fault. If you think I'm a 'poser' - then I'm a poser; if you think I'm 'emo' - then I'm emo. End point. And to the other half of you kids, you were more than nice for placating my ego.

I was thinking about Matthews & Ashleys accident tonight. Nothing in particular, it just ran across my mind. Then I tried viewing the guestbook and apparently it's become a broken link.

Anyway, tonight I came up with this idea. Imagine if you could make a film using all the memories you have kept throughout your life. &you get this option somewhere inbetween when you die and you see that light at the end of the tunnel (or whatever) and before you actually reach that destination point. The film would be an hour:30 minutes and all your memory bank scenes would be viewed in 3rd person (i think it's called 3rd person); well from wichever point of view you use watching a home movie. It's a really out there idea, but I think it would be neat to think about and maybe think about at the age of __ (what age you are now) from when you were born; which memories would you cut out and use for the film so far.

Colin talked about the idea of; "What if everybody in the world sneezed at the exact same time, do you think we could hear people in Tokyo?" Aha

Uh I guess I'll talk about the past few days, I've really got nothing to discuss -

Tuesday:
Kim came over and I took her to the Sun Sushi to eat. She had sushi and I had this chicken noodle dish. The soup they served as an apitizer didn't taste very good, neither did the herbal tea :/ The chicken noodle veggie dish that I ordered wasn't that bad. I drank a Pepsi while eating it & the entire time I felt really skeety Aha But I poured the can into a wine glass that came with it and it felt more weird than skeety; so it even-ed eerything out I guess. Ha My plate was almost half-full and I felt sorta awkward while when I told the waitress that I've had enough - only for the fact that I have this sense people always have the idea that I don't eat much or that I try not to eat much (anorexia). Which isn't the case.

After supper I had to work a shirt at McDonald's from 7-11, 4 hours isn't that horrible and time went kinda quick. I hate McDonalds but the one dollar McChicken is really not a bad deal. I got a little sick from eating the McChicken that I made yesterday because I got greedy and decided to put an extra two slices of cheese and about four strips of bacon on it. Because I work in kitchen I hold the ability of being able to put whatever I want on it|how many times i want it on there free of charge.

Kim picked me up at 11 and we came back to the apartment and watched Degrassi Junior High.

Wednesday:
We slept in until about, well 2:00pm I think but literally did nothing until 6:00pm. I've pretty much done nothing the entire day.

ps I found a way to make everyone look unattractive; picture them doing the Egyptian. No, really - It works.

brad

So, I'm home.

July 27, 2005

It really felt like I watched a lot of chapters end and seen how all the pages have turned today. And a few people unfold; I didn't realize how much I've missed since my last visit. It really does seem like I grew out of my past - or it grew out of me. Kate's moving at the end of August and it worries me that the I'll never see her again or I'll only see her several times between now and when I die, hangs over our heads. The house is pretty much just white walls now - gutted out. So many memories in that place. Kate took a picture of me standing against the walk-in closet wall. Aha I'll probably post it later. Susan has rented out Grand Bank Lumber for two months during this summer to showcase her artwork - I don't know, I can't explain it. I guess these are just a few more nails into the coffin of what Matt refers to as 'back in the day'.

Meh. You know, it doesn't bother me. It's just scary but at the same time interestng, watching - change occur.

brad

"Worrrrrrrrd Uppp"

I've been hauling thru the days wearing a sore throat, from the side effects of a contast cough the earlier week.

Anyway, the show in Mount Pearl was really fun to play but the atmosphere was something different. Going into this the thought of being asked to play a metal show was just a joke, but it happened Aha I hope we didn't dissappoint anyone who went to see calltheAmbulance and got us. Big thanks to everyone who showed up tho. Hopefully we lured a few new people into our music.

I'm going back "home" Monday for a few days; until the Lantern Festival anyway - for a few days of doing nothing. I haven't done much of anything today besides hang out with this certain cute city girl watching 'Saved By The Bell' and save an entire family from a burning building. And during/shortly after that time span the rest of the guys are leaving - Toronto, England ... so we won't be playing anymore shows until late August/early September. So our last show until after-summer is playing at Junctions this Sunday (July 24th) Please come see us.

Bah I never get to thank people enough for going to our shows, playing us over at Purevolume and being so nice and supportive towards us. I don't take the whole fact of having people actually like us, listen to us or even thinking Bob's a cutie-patootie (i ♥ you) lightly - because it's actually a dream turning into reality; as small as it may be it's still the same in retrospect. All in all it means a lot to me. If you don't understand, I guess you have to look deeper than you currently are into it. Anyway thank you thank you thank you straight from the bottom of my blackened heart.

It's nice having someone to talk to openly with, without them making you feel like a creep. I can't express how you make me feel with just syllables and brief stops. And measuring it with arm-spans just don't cut it. I'm not just pouring it out, it's slipping out over the edges.

Me & Matt went to the mall today to grab a bite to eat - which became A&W. We talked about friends, relationships and places, I had onion rings and a small root beer and couldn't down it, well I did but I didn't very feel hungry while doing so. I got a deal & purchased 3 new dvds today - a videography of Andre the Giant, the Graduate & Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex (a Woody Allen film). Haven't watch any of them yet - I'll probably throw the Andre the Giant disc in later and watch a match or two. I don't really like wrestling - more like nostalgica, that's why I never mention new age wrestling, just the dudes from back-in-the-day like Tatanka and uh Virgil Aha

My rat's been sick recently, very woobly when she walked and what not. She's fine now I think, sleeping away. I think I was under-feeding her.

brad

"How Bored Would You Be?! In Point May With The Power Gone?!"

The subject's a quote from Frosty that he said yesterday while we were at the mall. There's more to it, but it doesn't matter. But it was really funny & probably one of the best analogies I've ever heard - Point May with the power gone, I don't think you can get anymore bored actually. Trust me. I'm glad he's moved in here - sucks having your best friend live hours away from you.

I watched the sun rise, I think it's the first time this summer I've actually done that. I'll probably wash my clothes and clean Chloes cage out today.

Kim came over last night and we drank slushies, ate Teddy Grahams and watched bodybuilding women & Degrassi Junior High; then we fell asleep.

This is my Audioscrobbler playlist from last week.

01 Fall Out Boy - Of All The Gin Joints In All The World
02 Fall Out Boy - 7 Minutes In Heaven (Atavan Halen)
02 Fall Out Boy - We Don't Take Hits, We Write Them
04 Fall Out Boy - The Music Or The Misery
05 Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance
06 Fall Out Boy - A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me
07 Fall Out Boy - I've Got A Dark Alley And A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth
08 Alexisonfire - Happiness By The Kilowatt
09 Dallas Green - Sometimes (I Wish)
10 Boys Night Out - (Just Once) Let's Do Something

Apparently I still listen to a lot of Fall Out Boy.

brad

They Call Kids Like Me Vicious & Carved Out Of Stone.

Every time I think about writing out my thoughts lately, I can't word them how I'd like to. I always imagine expressing how I feel so eloquently and flawlessly, but a lot of times I really can't. I wish there was a cable I could hook up to my brain to transfer my thoughts to a machine, or a tv maybe.

Everything's better than just fine tho.

brad

Show was a blast.
So hot. So many kids.
I never thought I'd ever see kids actually sing the words I wrote back to us.

It felt amazing.

I left with Bob about 20 minutes after we played; we ate Jungle Jim's & then drove to Signal Hill.

Seems like I have to cut my days back home short; apparently we're playing a 'big' all ages show with My Antonia, Yesterday's Hero, calltheAmbulance & .roundelay on the 24th (anyone want to make a nice black-&-white show poster?) and I really want to go to the Lantern Festival with Kim on the 30th. So that leaves about 4 days in between.

4 days. wtf. Maybe 5. I could do with 5.

That's probably enough time anyway.

bradley

McDonald's is a pain in the ass.

Me & Kim went to the pet shop yesterday and picked up a cage, wood chips and a bowl for Chloe. We had ice cream too.

DM Skate Park show this Friday in Conception Bay South, possibly our last show until September. There's another show in Fortune July 22nd - I really don't know if we will be playing this or not. But if so - our friends from Yesterday's Hero are tagging along this time. I guess it will be a real treat for all you Robbie Grandy lovers from out there Aha

New Finch album stinks.

I'm going back home for almost a week come July 22nd. Hopefully my parents will pay a weeks worth of insurance on the Malibu for me, I'm sure if I ask - it won't be a problem. Well, wishful thinking anyway. I miss driving.

brad

We lost about 13 minutes off our set time.

I've been writing.

brad

Frosty moved out today into his own apartment - if you could even call it that. The place is a dump. I felt really bad having to leave him there; I offered up another night of sleeping on my floor until he had at least a few sheets to sleep under but he decided not to accept the invitation.

I guess we all have to re-start somewhere.

He let me keep one of the rats. I'm letting girl re-name her. Can you give a rat a small bath?

I watched your eyelashes while you slept and counted down all my wishes on them.

brad

My body feels broken, but everything was worth it.

And I got to spent it all with one of the cutest/sweetest people I've ever met.

brad

It's sold out! I hope all the kids I sold tickets too who were under 19 get in. Fuck, I'm excited - wish I didn't wake up today feeling like a truck had hit me tho.

bradley
